பம்பரம் போல் பரபரப்பாக சுழுலும் வாழ்வில் ஒரமாய் ஒதுங்கி உன்னதர் இயேசுவோடு உரையாடி ஒளிதேடி இறைவாக்கை விளக்காக வாழ்வாக வரவேற்று வளம் பெறுக!
2. மாறாக, என் நெஞ்சம் நிறைவும் அமைதியும் கொண்டுள்ளது; தாய் மடியில் தவழும் குழந்தையென என் நெஞ்சம் என்னகத்தே அமைதியாயுள்ளது. 3.இஸ்ரயேலே இப்போதும் எப்போதும் ஆண்டவரை நம்பியிரு"
ஆண்டவரே! உம்மீது நான் அசைக்க முடியாத நம்பிக்கையை வைக்க உதவியருளும்.
ஆண்டவரே! அமைதியோடு உன்னில் இரண்டறக் கலக்க விழைகின்றேன்.
2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; my soul is like the weaned child that is with me 3 O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time on and forevermore.
Lord! Help me to have steadfast faith on you..
Lord! I long for uniting with you in calm and quiet.
இந்நிகழ்ச்சிகளுக்குப் பின், கடவுள் ஆபிரகாமைச் சோதித்தார். அவர் அவரை நோக்கி, ஆபிரகாம் என, அவரும் இதோ! அடியேன் என்றார். 2 அவர், "உன் மகனை நீ அன்பு கூரும் உன் ஒரே மகனான ஈசாக்கை அழைத்துக் கொண்டு, மோரியா நிலப் பகுதிக்குச் செல். அங்கு நான் உனக்குக் காட்டும் மலைகளில் ஒன்றின் மேல் எரி பலியாக அவனை நீ பலியிட வேண்டும்" என்றார். 3 அவ்வாறே ஆபிரகாம் அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து தமது கழுதைக்குச் சேணமிட்டு, தம் வேலைக்காரருள் இருவரையும் தம் மகன் ஈசாக்கையும் அழைத்துக் கொண்டு, எரி பலிக்கு வேண்டிய விறகுக் கட்டைகளை வெட்டிய பின், கடவுள் தமக்குக் குறிப்பிட்டிருந்த இடத்தை நோக்கிப் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றார். 4 மூன்றாம் நாள் ஆபிரகாம் கண்களை உயர்த்தி அந்த இடத்தைத் தூரத்திலிருந்து பார்த்தார். உடனே ஆபிரகாம் தம் வேலைக்காரர்களை நோக்கி "நீங்கள் கழுதையோடு இங்கேயே காத்திருங்கள். நானும் பையனும் அவ்விடம் சென்று வழிபாடு செய்தபின் உங்களிடம் திரும்பி வருவோம்” என்றார். பின் ஆபிரகாம் எரி பலிக்கு வேண்டிய விறகுக் கட்டைகளை எடுத்துத் தம் மகன் ஈசாக்கின் மீது வைத்தார். நெருப்பையும் கத்தியையும் தம் கையில் எடுத்துக் கொண்டார். இவ்வாறு இருவரும் சேர்ந்து சென்றனர். 7 அப்பொழுது, ஈசாக்கு தன் தந்தையாகிய ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி, 'அப்பா! ' என, அவர் 'என்ன மகனே!' என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவன், "இதோ நெருப்பும் விறகுக் கட்டைகளும் இருக்கின்றன. எரிபலிக்கான ஆட்டுக்குட்டி எங்கே?" என்று வினவினான், 8 அதற்கு ஆபிரகாம் எரிபலிக்கான ஆட்டுக் குட்டியைப் பொறுத்த மட்டில், கடவுளே பார்த்துக்கொள்வார் மகனே " என்றார். இருவரும் சேர்ந்து தொடர்ந்து நடந்தனர். 9 ஆபிரகாமுக்குக் கடவுள் குறிப்பிட்டுச் சொல்லிய இடத்தை அவர்கள் அடைந்தனர். அங்கே ஆபிரகாம் ஒரு பலிபீடம் அமைத்து அதன்மேல் விறகுக்கட்டைகளை அடுக்கி வைத்தார். பின் தம் மகன் ஈசாக்கைக் கட்டி, பீடத்தின் மீதிருந்த விறகுக் கட்டைகளின் மேல் கிடத்தினார். 10 ஆபிரகாம் தம் மகனை வெட்டுமாறு தம் கையை நீட்டிக் கத்தியைக் கையிலெடுத்தார். 11 அப்பொழுது ஆண்டவரின் தூதர் வானத்தினின்று ஆபிரகாம் ! ஆபிரகாம்' என்று கூப்பிட அவர் இதோ! அடியேன்' என்றார். 12 அவர், "பையன் மேல் கை வைக்காதே, அவனுக்கு எதுவும் செய்யாதே; உன் ஒரே மகனையும் எனக்குப் பலியிட நீ தயங்கவில்லை என்பதிலிருந்து நீ கடவுளுக்கு அஞ்சுபவன் என்று இப்போது நான் அறிந்து கொண்டேன்” என்றார். 13 அப்பொழுது ஆபிரகாம் தம் கண்களை உயர்த்திப் பார்த்தார். இதோ, முட்செடியில் கொம்பு மாட்டிக்கொண்டு நின்ற ஓர் ஆட்டுக்கிடாயைக் கண்டார். உடனே ஆபிரகாம் அங்குச் சென்று அந்தக் கிடாயைப் பிடித்துத் தம் மகனுக்குப் பதிலாக எரி பலியாக்கினார். 14 எனவே, ஆபிரகாம் அந்த இடத்திற்கு 'யாவேயிரே' என்று பெயரிட்டார். ஆதலால் தான் மலையில் ஆண்டவர் பார்த்துக் கொள்வார்'. என்று இன்றுவரை வழங்கி வருகிறது. 15 ஆண்டவரின் தூதர் ஆபிரகாமை வானத்தினின்று மீண்டும் அழைத்து, 16 ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே! நான் என் மீது ஆணையிட்டுக் கூறுவது இதுவே! உன் ஒரே மகனை எனக்குப் பலியிடத் தயங்காமல் நீ இவ்வாறு செய்தாய். 17 ஆதலால் நான் உன்மீது உண்மையாகவே ஆசி பொழிந்து விண்மீன்களைப் போலவும் கடற்கரை மணலைப் போலவும் உன் வழிமரபைப் பலுகிப் பெருகச் செய்வேன். உன் வழிமரபினர் தம் பகைவர்களின் வாயிலை உரிமையாக்கிக் கொள்வர். 18 மேலும், நீ என் குரலுக்குச் செவி கொடுத்ததனால் உலகின் அனைத்து இனத்தவரும் உன் வழிமரபின் மூலம் தங்களுக்கு ஆசி கூறிக்கொள்வர் என்றார்.
ஆபிரகாமைப்போல உம்மீது அசைவுராத நம்பிக்கைய எனக்குத் தந்தருளும்.
ஆண்டவரே! உமது குரலுக்கு நான் செவி மெடுத்து, உம் சித்தப்படி நடக்க எனக்கு வரம் தாரும்.
1 After these things God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 2 He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I shall show you.” 3 So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and his son Isaac; he cut the wood for the burnt offering, and set out and went to the place in the distance that God had shown him. 4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place far away. 5 Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the boy and I will go over there; we will worship, and then we will come back to you.” 6 Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. So the two of them walked on together. 7 Isaac said to his father Abraham, “Father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” He said, “The fire and the wood are here, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” 8 Abraham said, “God himself will provide the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So the two of them walked on together. 9 When they came to the place that God had shown him, Abraham built an altar there and laid the wood in order. He bound his son Isaac, and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to kill his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven, and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 12 He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.” 13 And Abraham looked up and saw a ram, caught in a thicket by its horns. Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that place “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”15 The angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from heaven, 16 and said, “By myself I have sworn, says the Lord: Because you have done this, and have not withheld your son, your only son, 17 I will indeed bless you, and I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of their enemies, 18 and by your offspring shall all the nations of the earth gain blessing for themselves, because you have obeyed my voice.
Lord! Grant me to have unflinching faith on you.
Lord! Give me the gift to listen to your voice and live according to your will.
1 மோசே மிதியானின் அர்ச்சகராகிய தம் மாமனார் இத்திரோவின் ஆட்டு மந்தையை மேய்த்து வந்தார். அவர் அந்த ஆட்டு மந்தையைப் பாலை நிலத்தின் மேற்றிசையாக ஓட்டிக் கொண்டு கடவுளின் மலையாகிய ஒரேபை வந்தடைந்தார். 2 அப்போது ஆண்டவரின் தூதர் ஒரு முட்புதரின் நடுவே தீப்பிழம்பில் அவருக்குத் தோன்றினார். அவர் பார்த்த போது முட்புதர் நெருப்பால் எரிந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. ஆனால் அம்முட்புதர் தீய்ந்து போகவில்லை. 3"என் முட்புதர் தீய்ந்து போகவில்லை? இந்த மாபெரும் காட்சியைப் பார்ப்பதற்காக நான் அப்பக்கமாகச் செல்வேன்" என்று மோசே கூறிக்கொண்டார். 4 அவ்வாறே பார்ப்பதற்காக அவர் அணுகிவருவதை ஆண்டவர் கண்டார். மோசே , மோசே ' என்று சொல்லிக் கடவுள் முட்புதரின் நடுவிலிருந்து அவரை அழைக்க, அவர் இதோ நான்" என்றார். 5 அவர், "இங்கே அணுகிவராதே; உன் பாதங்களிலிருந்து மிதியடிகளை அகற்றிவிடு; ஏனெனில் நீ நின்று கொண்டிருக்கிற இந்த இடம் புனிதமான நிலம்" என்றார். 6 மேலும் அவர் உங்கள் மூதாதையரின் கடவுள், ஆபிரகாமின் கடவுள், ஈசாக்கின் கடவுள், யாக்கோபின் கடவுள் நானே" என்றுரைத்தார். மோசே கடவுளை உற்று நோக்க அஞ்சியதால் தம் முகத்தை மூடிக் கொண்டார். 7 அப்போது ஆண்டவர் கூறியது: "எகிப்தில் என் மக்கள் படும் துன்பத்தை என் கண்களால் கண்டேன்; அடிமை வேலை வாங்கும் அதிகாரிகளை முன்னிட்டு அவர்கள் எழுப்பும் குரலையும் கேட்டேன்; ஆம், அவர்களின் துயரங்களை நான் அறிவேன். எனவே எகிப்தியரின் பிடியிலிருந்து அவர்களை விடுவிக்கவும், அந்நாட்டிலிருந்து பாலும் தேனும் பொழியும் நல்ல பரந்ததோர் நாட்டிற்கு - அதாவது கானானியர், இத்தியர், எமோரியர், பெரிசயர், இவ்வியர், எபூசியர் வாழும் நாட்டிற்கு - அவர்களை நடத்திச் செல்லவும் இறங்கிவந்துள்ளேன். 9 இப்போது, இதோ! இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களின் அழுகுரல் என்னை எட்டியுள்ளது. மேலும் எகிப்தியர் அவர்களுக்கு இழைக்கும் கொடுமையையும் கண்டுள்ளேன். 10 எனவே இப்போதே போ; இஸ்ரயேல் இனத்தவராகிய என் மக்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து நடத்திச் செல்வதற்காக நான் உன்னைப் பார்வோனிடம் அனுப்புகிறேன். 11 மோசே கடவுளிடம், "பார்வோனிடம் செல்வதற்கும், இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைத்துப் போவதற்கும் நான் யார்?" என்றார். 12 அப்போது கடவுள், "நான் உன்னோடு இருப்பேன். மேலும் இம்மக்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைத்துச் செல்லும் போது நீங்கள் இம்மலையில் கடவுளை வழிபடுவீர்கள். நானே உன்னை அனுப்பினேன் என்பதற்கு அடையாளம் இதுவே" என்றுரைத்தார். 13 மோசே கடவுளிடம், "இதோ! இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களிடம் சென்று உங்கள் மூதாதையரின் கடவுள் என்னை உங்களிடம் அனுப்பியுள்ளார் என்று நான் சொல்ல, அவர் பெயர் என்ன?' என்று அவர்கள் என்னை வினவினால், அவர்களுக்கு என்ன சொல்வேன்?" என்று கேட்டார். 14 கடவுள் மோசேயை நோக்கி , இருக்கின்றவராக இருக்கின்றவர் நானே என்றார். மேலும் அவர், "நீ இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களிடம், 'இருக்கின்றவர் நானே என்பவர் என்னை உங்களிடம் அனுப்பினார் என்று சொல்" என்றார்.
ஆண்டவரே! அன்றாட நிகழ்ச்சிகளின் வழியாக நீர் என்னோடு பேசுவதை நான் இனம் கண்டு கொள்ள அருள்தாரும்.
ஆண்டவரே! உம்மைக் கண்டு அனுபவத்த நான் பேறு பெற்றவன். நீர் எனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் விடுதலைப் பணியை அஞ்சா நெஞ்சத்தோடு நிறைவேற்ற தைரியத்தைத் தந்தருளும்.
1 Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian; he led his flock beyond the wilderness, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of a bush; he looked, and the bush was blazing, yet it was not consumed. 3 Then Moses said, “I must turn aside and look at this great sight, and see why the bush is not burned up.” 4 When the Lord saw that he had turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” 5 Then he said, “Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” 6 He said further, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God. 7 Then the Lord said, “I have observed the misery of my people who are in Egypt; I have heard their cry on account of their taskmasters. Indeed, I know their sufferings, 8 and I have come down to deliver them from the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the country of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9 The cry of the Israelites has now come to me; I have also seen how the Egyptians oppress them. 10 So come, I will send you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.” 11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” 12 He said, “I will be with you; and this shall be the sign for you that it is I who sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God on this mountain.” 13 But Moses said to God, “If I come to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” 14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” He said further, “Thus you shall say to the Israelites, ‘I am has sent me to you.’”.
Lord! Grant me the grace to identify and realize that you are speaking to me through various events in my daily life..
Lord! I found and experienced your presence and, hence I am blessed. Give me the courage to fulfill the mission you give to me with endurance.
34 பின்பு, மேகம் சந்திப்புக்கூடாரத்தை மூடிற்று; ஆண்டவரின் மாட்சி திருஉறைவிடத்தை நிரப்பிற்று. 35 சந்திப்புக்கூடாரத்தின் மேலே மேகம் நின்றிருந்ததாலும், ஆண்டவரின் மாட்சி திருஉறைவிடத்தை நிரப்பியதாலும் மோசே உள்ளே நுழைய முடியாமல் போயிற்று. 36 இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் தங்கள் பயணத்தின் ஒவ்வொரு கட்டத்திலும், மேகம் திரு உறைவிடத்தை விட்டு எழும்பும் போதெல்லாம் புறப்பட்டுச் செல்வார்கள். 37 மேகம் எழும்பாதிருக்கும் போதோ, அது மேலே எழும்பும் நாள்வரை, அவர்கள் புறப்பட மாட்டார்கள். 38 ஏனெனில் பயணத்தின் ஒவ்வொரு கட்டத்திலும் திரு உறைவிடத்தின் மேல் பகலில் ஆண்டவரின் மேகம் இருப்பதையும், இரவிலோ அதில் நெருப்பு இருப்பதையும் இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டார் காண்பார்கள்.
ஆண்டவரே! என்றும், எப்பொழுதும், எங்கும் உமது பிரசன்னம் என்னை வழி நடத்துகிறது என்பதை நான் உணரச் செய்யும் அருள்தாரும்.
ஆண்டவரே! என் வாழ்க்கைப் பயணத்தில் என் வழியைச் செம்மைப் படுத்தி வாழ்வளித்து, விடுதலையளித்து வழிகாட்டியாக இருப்பதற்காக நான் நன்றி கூறுகிறேன்.
34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled upon it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 36 Whenever the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out on each stage of their journey; 37 but if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day that it was taken up. 38 For the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud[f] by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel at each stage of their journey.
Lord! Make me realize that your presence guides me everywhere constantly and continuously..
Lord! I thank you for being my guide in the course of my life, preparing the path and giving freedom.
1 அதன்பின் இயேசு அலகையினால் சோதிக்கப்படுவதற்காகப் பாலை நிலத்திற்குத் தூய ஆவியால் அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டார். 2 அவர் நாற்பது நாள் இரவும் பகலும் நோன்பிருந்தார். அதன் பின் பசியுற்றார். 3 சோதிக்கிறவன் அவரை அணுகி, "நீர் இறைமகன் என்றால் இந்தக் கற்கள் அப்பமாகும்படிக் கட்டளையிடும்" என்றார். 4 அவர் மறுமொழியாக, 'மனிதர் அப்பத்தினால் மட்டுமல்ல, மாறாக, கடவுளின் வாய்ச்சொல் ஒவ்வொன்றாலும் வாழ்வர்' என மறைநூலில் எழுதியுள்ளதே" என்றார். 5 பின்னர் அலகை அவரை எருசலேம் திருநகரத்திற்குக் கூட்டிச் சென்றது. கோவிலின் உயர்ந்த பகுதியில் அவரை நிறுத்தி, 6 "நீர் இறைமகன் என்றால் கீழே குதியும்; 'கடவுள் தம் தூதருக்கு உம்மைக் குறித்துக் கட்டளையிடுவார். உமது கால் கல்லில் மோதாதபடி அவர்கள் தங்கள் கைகளில் உம்மைத் தாங்கிக் கொள்வார்கள்' என்று மறை நூலில் எழுதியுள்ளது" என்று அலகை அவரிடம் சொன்னது. 7 இயேசு அதனிடம், "உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரைச் சோதிக்க வேண்டாம்' எனவும் எழுதியுள்ளதே" என்று சொன்னார். 8 மறுபடியும் அலகை அவரை மிக உயர்ந்த ஒரு மலைக்குக் கூட்டிச் சென்று உலக அரசுகள் அனைத்தையும், அவற்றின் மேன்மையையும் அவருக்குக் காட்டி, 9 அவரிடம், "நீர் நெடுஞ்சாண்கிடையாக விழுந்து என்னை வணங்கினால், இவை அனைத்தையும் உமக்குத் தருவேன்" என்றது. 10 அப்பொழுது இயேசு அதனைப் பார்த்து, "அகன்று போ, சாத்தானே, 'உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரை வணங்கி, அவர் ஒருவருக்கே பணி செய்' என்றும் மறைநூலில் எழுதியுள்ளது" என்றார். 11 பின்னர் அலகை அவரை விட்டு அகன்றது. உடனே வானதூதர் வந்து அவருக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்தனர்.
ஆண்டவரே! சோதிப்பவனின் சூழ்ச்சியை இனம் கண்டு கொண்டு, அவனை முறியடித்து நான் வெற்றிகொள்ள அருள்தாரும்.
ஆண்டவரே! உமது வாழ்வுதரும் வார்த்தைகள்தான் எனக்கு உணவு, உம்மைத் தவிர வேறு எவருக்கும் எதற்கும் அடிமையாகாமல், உமக்கு மட்டும் நான் பணிபுரிய விரும்புகின்றேன்.
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 He fasted forty days and forty nights, and afterwards he was famished. 3 The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, “It is written, ‘One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and placed him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 saying to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down; for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and ‘On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.” 7 Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor; 9 and he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! for it is written, ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.’” 11 Then the devil left him, and suddenly angels came and waited on him.
Lord! Grant me the grace to identify the conspiracy of the Temper, suppress and conquer the same. .
Lord! Your life-giving words are food for me; I want to serve you only, without getting enslaved to anybody or anything..
1 சிறுவன் சாமுவேல் ஏலியின் மேற்பார்வையில் ஆண்டவருக்கு ஊழியம் செய்து வந்தான். அந்நாள்களில் ஆண்டவரின் வார்த்தை அரிதாக இருந்தது. காட்சியும் அவ்வளவாக இல்லை . 2 அப்போது ஒருநாள் ஏலி தம் உறைவிடத்தில் படுத்திருந்தார். கண்பார்வை மங்கிவிட்டதால் அவரால் பார்க்க முடியவில்லை . 3 கடவுளின் விளக்கு இன்னும் அணையவில்லை. கடவுளின் பேழை வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்தில் சாமுவேல் படுத்திருந்தான். 4 அப்பொழுது ஆண்டவர், 'சாமுவேல்' என்று அழைத்தார். அதற்கு அவன், "இதோ! அடியேன்" என்று சொல்லி, 5 ஏலியிடம் ஓடி, "இதோ! அடியேன். என்னை அழைத்தீர்களா?" என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவர், "நான் அழைக்கவில்லை . திரும்பிச் சென்று படுத்துக்கொள்” என்றார். அவனும் சென்று படுத்துக் கொண்டான். 6 ஆண்டவர் மீண்டும் 'சாமுவேல்' என்று அழைக்க, அவன் எழுந்து ஏலியிடம் சென்று, "இதோ! அடியேன். என்னை அழைத்தீர்களா?" என்று கேட்டான். அவரோ "நான் அழைக்கவில்லை. மகனே! சென்று படுத்துக்கொள்' என்றார். 7 சாமுவேல் ஆண்டவரை இன்னும் அறியவில்லை. அவனுக்கு ஆண்டவரின் வார்த்தை இன்னும் வெளிப்படுத்தப் படவில்லை. 8 மூன்றாம் முறையாக ஆண்டவர், 'சாமுவேல் என்று அழைத்தார். அவன் எழுந்து ஏலியிடம் சென்று, "இதோ! அடியேன் . என்னை அழைத்தீர்களா?" என்று கேட்டான். அப்பொழுது சிறுவனை ஆண்டவர்தாம் அழைத்தார் என்று ஏலி தெரிந்து கொண்டார். 9 பின்பு ஏலி சாமுவேலை நோக்கி, " சென்று படுத்துக் கொள். உன்னை அவர் மீண்டும் அழைத்தால் அதற்கு நீ , ஆண்டவரே பேசும், உம் அடியான் கேட்கிறேன்' என்று பதில் சொல்" என்றார். சாமுவேலும் தன் இடத்திற்குச் சென்று படுத்துக்கொண்டான். 10 அப்போது ஆண்டவர் வந்து நின்று, சாமுவேல், சாமுவேல்' என்று முன்பு போல் அழைத்தார். அதற்குச் சாமுவேல், பேசும், உம் அடியான் கேட்கிறேன்' என்று மறுமொழி கூறினான்.
ஆண்டவரே! நீ என் உள்ளாழத்தில் பேசும்போது நான் உன்னிப்பாகக் கவனித்துச் செவிமடுக்க அருள்தாரும்.
ஆண்டவரே! நான் என்றும் உம் இல்லத்தில் தங்கி, உமது குரலுக்குச் செவிமடுத்து உம்மை ஆழமாக அறிந்து கொள்ளக் கூடிய பக்குவத்தை எனக்குத் தாரும்.
1 Now the boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord under Eli. The word of the Lord was rare in those days; visions were not widespread. 2 At that time Eli, whose eyesight had begun to grow dim so that he could not see, was lying down in his room; 3 the lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was. 4 Then the Lord called, “Samuel! Samuel!”[a] and he said, “Here I am!” 5 and ran to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” But he said, “I did not call; lie down again.” So he went and lay down. 6 The Lord called again, “Samuel!” Samuel got up and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” But he said, “I did not call, my son; lie down again.” 7 Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, and the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him. 8 The Lord called Samuel again, a third time. And he got up and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” Then Eli perceived that the Lord was calling the boy. 9 Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down; and if he calls you, you shall say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10 Now the Lord came and stood there, calling as before, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
Lord! Grant me the grace to listen to you attentively, when you speak deep into my heart.
Lord! Give me the perfection to stay in your temple, to listen to your voice and to discern you profoundly.
1 எலியா செய்த அனைத்தையும், பொய்வாக்கினர் அனைவரையும் அவர் வாளினால் கொன்றதையும் ஆகாபு ஈசபேலுக்குத் தெரிவித்தான். 2 எனவே ஈசபேல் எலியாவிடம் தூது அனுப்பி, "நீ அவர்களது உயிரைப் பறித்தது போல், நானும் நாளை இந்நேரத்திற்குள் உன் உயிரைப் பறிக்காவிடில், தெய்வங்கள் எனக்குத் தண்டனை கொடுக்கட்டும்" என்று சொல்லச் சொன்னாள். 3 ஆகவே அவர் அச்சமுற்று, தம் உயிரைக் காத்துக் கொள்ளுமாறு தப்பி ஓடினார். யூதாவிலிருந்து பெயேர்செபாவை அடைந்ததும் அங்கே தம் பணியாளனை விட்டு விட்டு, 4 அவர் பாலை நிலத்தில் ஒரு நாள் முழுவதும் பயணம் செய்தார். அங்கே ஒரு சூரைச் செடியின் அடியில் அமர்ந்து கொண்டு, தாம் சாகவேண்டுமெனப் பின்வருமாறு மன்றாடினார்: "ஆண்டவரே, நான் வாழ்ந்தது போதும்; என் உயிரை எடுத்துக் கொள்ளும் ; நான் என் மூதாதையரைவிட நல்லவன் அல்ல." பின்னர் அச்சூரைச் செடியின் அடியில் அவர் படுத்துறங்கினார். அப்போது வானதூதர் அவரைத் தட்டி எழுப்பி, "எழுந்து சாப்பிடு" என்றார். 6 அவர் கண் விழித்துப் பார்க்கையில், இதோ! தணலில் சுட்ட ஒரு அப்பமும் ஒரு குவளையில் தண்ணீரும் தம் தலைமாட்டில் இருக்கக் கண்டார். அவற்றை அவர் உண்டு பருகியபின் திரும்பவும் படுத்துக் கொண்டார். 7 ஆண்டவரின் தூதர் இரண்டாம் முறை வந்து, அவரைத் தட்டி எழுப்பி, "எழுந்து சாப்பிடு; ஏனெனில் நீ நீண்ட பயணம் செய்ய வேண்டும்" என்றார். 8 அப்பொழுது அவர் எழுந்து உண்டு பருகினார். அவ்வுணவினால் வலிமை அடைந்த அவர், நாற்பது பகலும் நாற்பது இரவும் நடந்து, ஒரேபு என்ற கடவுளின் மலையை அடைந்தார். 9 அவர் அங்கிருந்த குகைக்கு வந்து, அதில் இரவைக் கழித்தார். அப்போது ஆண்டவரது வாக்கு அவருக்கு வந்தது. அவர் "எலியா! நீ இங்கே என்ன செய்கிறாய்?" என்று வினவினார். 10 அதற்கு அவர், "படைகளின் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் மீது நான் பேரார்வம் கொண்டவனாய் இருந்து வருகிறேன். ஆனால் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் உமது உடன்படிக்கையை உதறி விட்டனர். உம் பலிபீடங்களைத் தகர்த்து விட்டனர். உம் இறைவாக்கினரை வாளால் கொன்றுவிட்டனர். நான் ஒருவன் மட்டுமே எஞ்சியிருக்க, என் உயிரையும் பறிக்கத் தேடுகின்றனர்" என்றார். 11 அப்போது ஆண்டவர், "வெளியே வா; மலைமேல் என் திருமுன் வந்து நில் . இதோ! ஆண்டவராகிய நான் கடந்து செல்ல விருக்கிறேன்" என்றார். உடனே ஆண்டவர் திருமுன் பெரும் சுழற்காற்று எழுந்து மலைகளைப் பிளந்து பாறைகளைச் சிதறடித்தது. ஆனால் ஆண்டவர் அந்தக் காற்றில் இல்லை. காற்றுக்குப் பின் நிலநடுக்கம் ஏற்பட்டது. நிலநடுக்கத்திலும் ஆண்டவர் இருக்கவில்லை . 12 நிலநடுக்கத்திற்குப் பின் தீ கிளம்பிற்று. தீயிலும் ஆண்டவர் இருக்கவில்லை. தீக்குப்பின் அடக்கமான மெல்லிய ஒலி கேட்டது. 13 அதை எலியா கேட்டவுடன் போர்வையினால் தம் முகத்தை மூடிக்கொண்டு வெளியே வந்து குகையின் வாயிலில் நின்றார். அப்பொழுது, "எலியா, நீ இங்கே என்ன செய்கிறாய் ? " என்று ஒரு குரல் கேட்டது. 14 அதற்கு அவர், "படைகளின் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர்மீது நான் பேரார்வம் கொண்டவனாய் இருந்து வருகிறேன். ஆனால் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் உமது உடன்படிக்கையை உதறி விட்டனர்; உம் பலி பீடங்களைத் தகர்த்து விட்டனர்; உம் இறைவாக்கினரை வாளால் கொன்று விட்டனர். நான் ஒருவன் மட்டுமே எஞ்சியிருக்க, என் உயிரையும் பறிக்கத் தேடுகின்றனர்” என்றார். 15 அப்போது ஆண்டவர் அவரிடம், "நீ வந்த வழியே திரும்பித் தமஸ்குப் பாலை நிலம் நோக்கிச் செல். அவ்விடத்தை அடைந்தவுடன் அசாவேலைச் சிரியாவுக்கு மன்னனாகத் திருப்பொழிவு செய்." என்றார்.
ஆண்டவரே! அமைதியில் நீர் என்னோடு ஆழமாய்ப் பேசுகின்றீர் என்பதை உணர எனக்கு அருள்தாரும்.
ஆண்டவரே! உம்பெயர் மீது பேரார்வம் கொண்டு, பக்திப்பரவசத்தோடு உமது அடக்கமான மெல்லிய குரலைக் கேட்க எனக்குப் பக்குவத்தை தாரும். நீர் என்னிடம் ஒப்படைக்கும் பணியை நான் தயங்காமல் செய்து முடித்திட வரம் தாரும்.
1 Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. 2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So may the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life like the life of one of them by this time tomorrow.” 3 Then he was afraid; he got up and fled for his life, and came to Beer-sheba, which belongs to Judah; he left his servant there. 4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a solitary broom tree. He asked that he might die: “It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life, for I am no better than my ancestors.” 5 Then he lay down under the broom tree and fell asleep. Suddenly an angel touched him and said to him, “Get up and eat.” 6 He looked, and there at his head was a cake baked on hot stones, and a jar of water. He ate and drank, and lay down again. 7 The angel of the Lord came a second time, touched him, and said, “Get up and eat, otherwise the journey will be too much for you.” 8 He got up, and ate and drank; then he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb the mount of God. 9 At that place he came to a cave, and spent the night there. Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” 10 He answered, “I have been very zealous for the Lord, the God of hosts; for the Israelites have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I alone am left, and they are seeking my life, to take it away.” 11 He said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Now there was a great wind, so strong that it was splitting mountains and breaking rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of sheer silence. 13 When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. Then there came a voice to him that said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” 14 He answered, “I have been very zealous for the Lord, the God of hosts; for the Israelites have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I alone am left, and they are seeking my life, to take it away.” 15 Then the Lord said to him, “Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus; when you arrive, you shall anoint Hazael as king over Aram.
Lord! Grant me the grace to realise that, in silence, you are speaking with me intensely.
Lord! Give me the perfection to listen to your whispering silent voice with zeal and devotion. Give me the gift to complete the task you entrust to me without hesitation.
