A Brief History
This Parish was looked after by the Salesian Priests of Perambur and was erected as an independent
Parish on 25.5.2001 by Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore Most Rev. Dr. Arul Das James. It is a happy
coincidence that Rev. Fr. A.M. Chinappa SDB, the then Parish Priest of Perambur, 25 years ago,registered this church land. That Rev. Father is now the present Archbishop of this historical Archdiocese of Madras -Mylapore.
